1.1.1 Introduction
Navigation Path:
Office > Asset Types
Asset Types are global settings that define how assets (like desks or rooms) behave across the entire DoorJames system. While "Asset Booking" handles individual reservations, this section ensures consistency by controlling activation and management at a global level.
1.1.2 Managing Default Asset Types
The Default section contains the standard asset types provided by the system.
-
Deactivation: To turn off a standard asset type, press "Deactivate."
-
14-Day Warning: Once deactivated, all existing settings for that specific asset type will be permanently deleted after 14 days. Ensure you confirm this action only if you are certain.
1.1.3 Custom Asset Types
Under the Custom section, you can manage personalized asset types that were created specifically for your organization. You can edit, deactivate, or remove them just like the default ones.
1.1.4 Creating a New Custom Asset Type
To add a completely new type of asset:
-
Press "New Asset."
-
Asset Name: Enter a clear name.
-
Description: Provide details on what this asset is used for.
-
Multi-User Booking:
Use the toggle to allow multiple users to book the same asset at the same time (e.g., for shared spaces like lounge areas or sofas). -
Save: Once saved, the new asset type is available throughout your entire office setup.
